The next morningâ¦
I dipped out of Owenâs spot early so I could take my ass home and freshen up. By 7 a.m., I was dressed down for the day since I didnât have any business to tend to. It felt good as hell being able to just rock a plain wife beater and some gray sweats. Them damn suits got stuffy as a muthafucka sometimes.
With my arm resting on the door of my Cadillac Eldorado, I whipped through the hot streets of Las Vegas until I made it to my brother Domenicoâs spot. I hadnât forgotten that heâd taken my girl home after I specifically told his ass to back up off her. Aight, maybe I didnât say it exactly, but he knew me well enough to realize that Owen wasnât some random female that Iâd punched his ass over. His second clue should have been the fact that she was at an exclusive Coterie banquet.
I crept through the back of his spot and made sure I had my gun in hand as I entered the home. I heard his bitch ass in the kitchen singing and shit, so I walked right in behind his ass, placing the gun to his head.
âThe fuck?â he immediately spat, lifting his hands in mock surrender.
âWhy you out here giving rides and shit?â I quizzed.
âShon, man, she looked like she was stressing,â he talked, still facing the window above his sink as I stood behind him.
âI donât give a fuck what she looked like. The next time you see her, you keep on fucking walking, my nigga. This is the first and last time Iâm gonâ tell yoâ ass that sheâs off limits in every way. Only time you speak to her is if I say itâs aight. You got it?â
Domenico let out a breathy chuckle, trying to cling onto the little bit of pride he had left. I knew it was an ego bruiser that his younger brother was capo, but he needed to get over the shit, quick, fast, and in a muthafuckinâ hurry. Only reason he was still breathing right now was because he was my blood. Any other nigga would have been laid out by now for giving Owen a ride.
âYeah, I got it,â he finally replied.
âGet some better locks for ya crib, dummy.â I lowered the gun and left out his house the same way that I came in.
I stopped by the store to pick up some shit I needed, then went straight back to Owenâs home. She ainât know I fixed her door and made myself a key last night after she passed out, so when I got there, I just entered. Shit, she shouldnât mind if I had a fucking key. Ainât like she was about to be entertaining other niggas in this crib. Unless them niggas wanted to commit suicide, they wouldnât be around this bitch either.
I heard the shower running when I got there, so I quickly started making the food after washing my hands.
